‘Fea’ 2018. Relief print on leather – detail of a collage. Age 38
Today is the last day of me giving a peedie insight into my work over the years – there is so much more I could say about my work and practice, but I will leave that for future discussions.
Fea is a good way to end as it is the direction my work is currently moving. Experimenting, learning, and reimagining. Using Soulisquoy Printmakers studio is helping and encouraging me to make new marks and appreciate a different surface and material. I love the boldness of colour and the ability to layer. One of the best things is the surprise you get when you lift the press or blanket to see how a print has turned out.
I hope to continue experimenting over the next few years, while painting, and build a new collection of work to be exhibited at my next solo show at the Pier Arts Centre.
Thank you for taking the time to read my ramblings. If you would like to be added to my mailing list for future exhibitions, please let me know.
I look forward to showing you all when the time comes.
