its eyes are stone,

its spatular feet crusted with verdigris

it is the shadow of itself:

it is its shadow.

first the shadow then the bird.

 

This collaboration was a pleasure to work on.  Alistair Peebles from Brae Editions pulled it together with professionalism, encouragement and knowledge.  The line drawings are my response to birds in flight – the movements, patterns and sounds.
