Never, ever would we have thought Many New Dances would raise this much money in aid of MND Scotland – the initial goal was £4K and we thought that was ambitious. The total so far is past £7000 – all I can say is WOW!!
On a number of levels this is great news:
- MND Scotland will receive an amazing amount to contribute the the great work they are already doing – research, support and guidance. You can read all about MND Scotland and the work they do on their website http://www.mndscotland.org.uk
- Artists and makers feel appreciated and valued – for many it’s been a funny old year and this exhibition is a showcase of amazing talents and skills. The arts are such an important part of life – artists, musicians, writers, film makers, designers etc work hard to produce work to be enjoyed. A light relief amongst day to day.
- The community support – be that family, friends or the wider community – has been super. A real testament to peoples caring nature and ability to think of others. That is something that should never be taken for granted.
